Powell & Co Construction Ltd will provide a safe and healthy place of work for employees and contractors to meet all our duties and obligations to clients.
It is Powell & Co Construction’s intention to protect employees from an accident or ill health at work. The company will seek to ensure that all our equipment and systems do not constitute a risk to the Health & Safety of our employees and we will consult with employees on risk improvements.
Health and Safety Manager
Powell & Co Health & Safety Manager, Ted Hodnett, works from our head office at Kingsland, near Leominster and out at sites to ensure a safe working environment and practices are in place to protect employees and clients.
We are committed to supporting our clients and prior to each build a member of Powell & Co team will visit a site and complete a pre-build checklist. This covers all aspects of our construction operations with you, including site access, health and safety, and CDM. The checklist also covers everything from transport route to welfare facilities to collection of waste.
Our team leaders are all SMSTS accredited and all relevant information with regards to tickets and qualifications related to team members working on site are supplied to the principal contractor for each build.
